Key Responsibilities
In this dual-focused role, you will be essential to daily production and team coordination. Your core duties will include:
- Working primarily as a line operator, performing production tasks to meet strict specifications, yields, and standard operating procedures.
- Supporting the Team Leader in supervising and directing production staff to hit all daily targets and deadlines.
- Helping to coordinate workflow and allocate tasks to the team to optimise productivity.
- Monitoring production processes to identify and suggest opportunities for improvement.
- Providing hands-on assistance to team members and stepping in to help with tasks as needed.
- Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate production records and communicating effectively with the wider team to troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong foundation in food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least five (5) years of proven experience in a production role, with specific skills and experience in the meat processing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in team supervision or coordination.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Competency in using relevant manufacturing software and production systems.
