Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their vital equipment running. Your core duties will involve:
- Independently diagnosing complex issues on a wide range of agricultural and construction equipment through careful inspection and analysis.
- Performing expert repairs, from disassembling machinery and replacing parts to reassembling systems to exact specifications using your personal tools.
- Conducting thorough routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to prevent future problems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing advanced electrical and hydraulic systems found in modern machinery.
- Tuning and overhauling engines to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Keeping meticulous records of all repairs, parts used, and communicating clearly with both supervisors and customers about the work performed.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment and staying up-to-date on the latest product knowledge.
Qualifications
We are looking for a technically proficient and safety-minded professional. The essentials for this role are:
- A High School diploma or GED.
- A strong, practical understanding of mechanical principles, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide your work.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to tackle complex machinery issues.
- Proficiency with a full set of hand tools and a willingness to perform welding tasks as needed.
- Outstanding customer service skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a relentless attention to detail.
- The physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and work in various positions and weather conditions.
