Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care across all areas of our practice, from consultations and surgical procedures to patient recovery.
- Take a leading role in managing complex general anaesthetics, including developing tailored protocols and providing meticulous intraoperative monitoring.
- Act as a clinical resource and supportive mentor for fellow nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.
- Engage with pet owners by delivering clear, evidence-based preventative healthcare advice and conducting effective phone triage.
- Handle the accurate calculation, preparation, and administration of medications, applying your strong pharmacological knowledge daily.
- Contribute to clinic organisation, helping to streamline workflows and maintain our high standards of efficiency and patient care.
Qualifications
Your Foundation for Success:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and at least five years of hands-on clinical experience.
- Proven proficiency in managing complex anaesthesia cases and a confident, knowledgeable approach to patient pharmacology.
- Outstanding communication skills that allow you to connect with clients compassionately and guide your colleagues effectively.
- A naturally organised approach to your work, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinic setting.
- A genuine interest in stepping into leadership, whether through mentoring, supporting team development, or helping to cultivate our positive culture.
- Availability for Monday to Friday shifts.
