Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing critical welding that meets strict project specifications. Your key duties include:
- Performing high-quality Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) on stainless steel pipe and other components in field installation settings.
- Reading and interpreting detailed project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to guide your work with precision.
- Selecting appropriate filler materials and performing necessary grinding and deburring to achieve proper fit and finish.
- Coordinating effectively with field labor crews to ensure efficient workflow and project progress.
- Upholding a personal commitment to safety by strictly following all company and site safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and utilizing your own required set of hand tools on each job site.
- Traveling extensively and working on project sites nationwide for extended periods.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified professional who meets the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Welder, with specialized expertise in Stainless Steel TIG pipe welding.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and blueprints is essential.
- Additional experience with STICK (SMAW) and/or Flux-Core (FCAW) welding is highly preferred.
- Possession of an OSHA 10 or MSHA certification, a TWIC card, and industrial machine licenses (e.g., forklift) are strong assets.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively, work overtime, shiftwork, weekends, and holidays as required by project demands.
- Must own and provide your own basic welding hand tools (hood, gloves, grinders, clamps, etc.).
