Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in maintaining the warmth and cleanliness of our village. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Ensuring high-quality cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and kitchen facilities.
- Caring for residents’ personal laundry-washing, folding, and returning items with attention and respect.
- Labelling, mending, and maintaining laundry items to ensure they are looked after properly.
- Supporting infection control measures and adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their individual preferences.
- Contributing to a homelike and welcoming atmosphere for residents, their whānau, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who brings heart and a strong work ethic. You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have experience in housekeeping, ideally in healthcare or hospitality (but this is not essential).
- Take genuine pride in your work and care about the small details that make a big difference.
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet.
- Have a kind, respectful nature and a genuine interest in aged care-full training is provided.
