Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Cleaning Technician, your work is vital to our plant’s efficiency and safety. Your daily duties will be diverse and hands-on:
- Performing thorough cleaning of lint and debris from fixed plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assisting the maintenance team with general tasks, repairs, and keeping the entire production floor clean and tidy.
- Operating a forklift to assist with inwards goods movements and logistics (training can be provided if needed).
- Following all safe work procedures meticulously, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols when working on equipment.
- Engaging in labour-intensive work that involves lifting (5kg-15kg repetitively), bending, and being on your feet for the full shift.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable individual who brings energy and a positive attitude. The essentials are:
- A strong “can-do” attitude, a good level of physical fitness, and a willingness to be an active part of our safety-first culture.
- The ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Flexibility with weekly shift times and the ability to work effectively both independently and as a supportive team player within our multicultural workforce.
- While a current forklift licence and LOTO training are advantageous, they are not essential—we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
- A willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
