Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our field service team, you will be a mobile ambassador for John Deere and RDO. Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Performing expert diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a range of John Deere construction, agricultural, and turf equipment directly at customer sites.
- Providing exceptional technical advice and support to customers, helping them maximise the productivity and lifespan of their machinery.
- Accurately documenting all work performed, including parts usage and labour time, using the latest diagnostic technology and systems.
- Travelling to customer locations with flexibility, adapting to changing schedules and urgent requests as needed.
- Contributing actively to our culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement in everything you do.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified professional who is ready to grow with us. The ideal candidate will have:
- A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, or equivalent. Light Vehicle Mechanics seeking to transition into heavy equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Solid hands-on experience in diagnostics and repairs; prior field service experience is highly regarded.
- Strong technical skills across electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused, and professional attitude.
- A strong safety mindset and a genuine desire to learn and develop. While agricultural equipment experience is beneficial, comprehensive training and support will be provided.
- Relevant certifications or licences as required for the role (specific details will be requested later in the process).
