 Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on fabrication role, you will be involved in the end-to-end process of creating metal components. Your key duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to plan and execute fabrication tasks.
- Operating various fabrication machinery, such as saws, shears, press brakes, and rollers, to cut, bend, and shape metal components.
- Performing skilled welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using appropriate techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) to join parts according to project standards.
- Conducting quality checks on your own work to ensure dimensions, tolerances, and weld integrity meet all requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Collaborating effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
This role requires a specific combination of language skills, technical ability, and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a closely related mechanical field.
- Proven proficiency in welding and experience operating standard metal fabrication machinery.
- Practical experience working with various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required for clear communication with team members, understanding work instructions, and reading technical documents.
- The ability to work a regular schedule from Monday to Saturday, with the flexibility to work on Sundays and Public Holidays as required by project deadlines.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
