Key Responsibilities
You will be based at the Sun Metals industrial site south of Townsville. This is not standard office cleaning. It requires full compliance with strict site safety protocols and a commitment to consistency.
- Attend client sites strictly at scheduled times. Punctuality is non-negotiable.
- Comply 100% with all Sun Metals site rules, policies, and safety procedures.
- Deliver cleaning services precisely as per agreed scopes of work and service agreements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties including mopping and scrubbing hard flooring and tiled areas.
- Clean kitchens and staff facilities, including benches, sinks, and appliances.
- Maintain toilets and washrooms, including consumable replenishment (soap, paper towel, toilet paper).
- Empty bins and remove waste from designated areas.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment serviceability issues immediately to your supervisor.
- Follow all CMBM and client-specific safety instructions without exception.
Shift pattern: Monday to Sunday. Multiple shifts available between 6:00 am and 5:30 pm. Rotating weekend work is required.
Qualifications
We need experienced commercial cleaners who can work independently at a demanding industrial site.
You must have:
- Previous commercial cleaning experience (essential). This is not an entry-level role.
- Your own reliable, roadworthy vehicle and a current Australian driver’s licence (essential). You must be able to get to and from the Sun Metals site consistently.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (mandatory for Sun Metals site access).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude. Our client schedules cleaning around operations; we need people who show up when they say they will.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining consistent standards.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
Additional requirements (site-dependent):
- A Blue Card (Working With Children Check) and current National Police Check are standard CMBM requirements for many sites and may be required depending on your specific assignment .
