We are looking for an ACMV Technician with at least two years of hands-on experience to join commercial building works projects in Singapore. This role is open to Construction Work Permit Holders who possess the required certifications core trade, BCSS, or Multi-Skill Certificate and are ready to work a consistent Monday-to-Saturday schedule with daily overtime. You will be assembling, installing, testing, and troubleshooting ACMV systems, reading electrical schematics, and fabricating parts using hand tools. Our work is new installation and system integration running ducting, mounting condensing units, pulling control wiring, and ensuring every system we hand over passes inspection on the first attempt. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and commission ACMV systems for commercial building projects, including ducted and split-type air conditioning units, ventilation fans, and associated control systems.
- Construct and fabricate mounting brackets, duct supports, and other necessary components using hand tools and measuring instruments according to specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine connection points, control sequences, and load requirements.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting circuits associated with ACMV equipment.
- Troubleshoot ACMV system issues—compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, fan motor faults, control board errors—using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging in accordance with manufacturer specifications and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all installation work complies with applicable building codes, fire safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with other trades—electrical, structural, architectural—to resolve interference issues and maintain project schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on active construction sites.
- Complete daily work records and report progress to supervisors.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the ACMV field or related M and E industry.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial building ACMV installation office towers, retail malls, institutional buildings—strongly preferred.
Certifications:
- Possess one of the following valid certificates: Core Trade Certificate (ACMV), BCSS (Basic Construction Safety Certification), or Multi-Skill Certificate.
- Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license is required (additional allowance provided).
Technical Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes, fire safety regulations, and ACMV installation standards in Singapore.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematic drawings.
- Familiarity with common ACMV system configurations, components, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing devices (multimeters, manifold gauges, leak detectors).
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Saturday.
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with daily 2 hours of overtime.
- Consistent, predictable hours with OT built into the daily schedule.
Work Authorization:
- Open to Construction Work Permit Holders with relevant experience and certifications.
- Must possess valid Singapore work authorization.
Personal Attributes:
- Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good attitude toward safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Physically fit for construction site work, including climbing ladders, working at height, and handling heavy components.
