What You Will Be Doing
- You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of complex electronic systems and equipment, ensuring all work meets technical manual and engineering specification standards.
- You will apply both basic and advanced technical principles to solve complex problems that cannot be resolved by standard reference materials alone.
- You will determine the location and density of circuitry, evaluate electromagnetic radiation, and isolate malfunctions to the component level.
- You will perform circuit analyses and incorporate engineering changes as needed to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
- You will use diagnostic instruments such as oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, pulse generators, and complex control equipment to conduct detailed testing.
- You will exercise independent judgment in selecting tools and planning work sequences for each repair task.
- You will ensure equipment reliability, accuracy of diagnostic results, and proper documentation of all maintenance actions.
- You may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians and ensure compliance with accepted maintenance practices and safety standards.
- You will perform various production control activities, including gathering and filing records, reporting on material usage, and monitoring customer requests.
- You will work in a shop environment that can be drafty, noisy, and dirty, and may be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
What We Are Looking For
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have knowledge of U.S. Army procedures and logistics information systems.
- You have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- You are physically capable of walking and standing on level or inclined surfaces for extended periods, crouching, crawling, grasping objects, using finger dexterity, bending elbow and knee, and reaching above and below shoulders.
- You can lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds.
- You can type using a standard keyboard and communicate through email and various software applications.
- You have or are able to obtain a forklift license.
- You are a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- You have strong analytical ability and technical proficiency, with the capability to work independently under minimal supervision.
