We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Fremont, Ohio, where you’ll be responsible for creating structural steel products using blueprints and various welding techniques. This role involves layout, fabrication, and assembly of metal parts using MIG welding, as well as operating equipment such as brake presses, rollers, forklifts, and overhead cranes. This is a first shift position with a stable schedule and opportunities for overtime. About the Role

As a Welder with our team, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality structural steel products for a range of applications. You’ll work from blueprints to lay out, fabricate, and assemble metal parts, ensuring every weld meets specifications and standards. You’ll also operate various equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, as part of your daily tasks. This is a hands-on role in a shop environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are valued. Key Responsibilities

  • Create structural steel products using blueprints and various welding techniques, primarily MIG welding.
  • Perform layout, fabrication, and assembly of metal parts, working with stainless and mild steel.
  • Operate equipment such as brake presses, rollers, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately to ensure work meets specifications.
  • Use a tape measure and other tools to ensure precise measurements and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
  • Participate in voluntary Saturday shifts and weekday overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to weld on various types of steel, including stainless and mild steel.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Skill in reading a tape measure.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ownership of a welding helmet and necessary tools.

Work Environment

  • Shift: First shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Overtime: Potential overtime on weekdays and voluntary Saturday shifts available.
  • Attendance: Attendance is crucial, especially within the first 30 days. A $100 bonus is offered for perfect attendance each month.
  • Shop Environment: Work with various fabrication and safety equipment in a well-equipped shop.
