We’re looking for a Welder-Fabricator to join our Pakenham-based business for on-site work. This is a role for someone who’s good with their hands, mechanically minded, and comfortable working either on their own or as part of a team. What You’ll Be Doing
- On-site fabrication and welding:Â You’ll be working at various locations, handling welding and fabrication tasks as they come up.
- Using hand tools and equipment:Â You’ll need to be comfortable with a range of tools and know how to use them properly.
- Reading shop drawings:Â You’ll interpret drawings to make sure your work matches the specs.
- Working independently or with the team: Some days you’ll be on your own; other days you’ll be collaborating with others—you need to be comfortable with both.
- Managing your schedule:Â You’ll have the ability to work a Saturday and take a weekday off, giving you flexibility in your week.
- Taking advantage of overtime:Â Overtime is available and paid daily no waiting around for overtime pay.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Welding tickets-qualifications you have the formal credentials to back up your skills.
- Good with hand tools you know your way around tools and use them correctly.
- Mechanically minded you understand how things work and can figure out solutions.
- Ability to read shop drawings you can interpret drawings and fabricate accordingly.
- Work on your own or in a team you’re adaptable to whatever the job requires.
- Ability to work one day on the weekend with a weekday off in return.
- Current car license you need to be able to get to and from sites.
- Must be currently living in Victoria this is essential for on-site work.
