Key Responsibilities
- Assemble a wide range of products including firefighting pumps and farm machinery to exacting standards
- Work with mechanical and electronic components, ensuring every assembly meets quality requirements
- Collaborate with a productive team to meet daily and weekly production targets
- Handle tools and machinery with care and precision, maintaining attention to detail throughout
- Problem-solve on the go, addressing assembly challenges as they arise
- Follow lean manufacturing principles where applicable to support efficient workflows
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, contributing to overall shop floor safety
- Occasionally support overtime or weekend work when production demands require it
Qualifications
We are looking for people with mechanical knowledge and experience—whether that comes from small engines, diesel fitting, or electronics backgrounds. The ability to handle tools confidently and with great attention to detail is essential. You should be self-motivated, a natural problem solver, and comfortable managing multiple tasks. A strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability are non-negotiable. Physical fitness is required, as heavy lifting is involved. Forklift operator’s certificate, electronics experience, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles are all desirable but not essential. Above all, we value an optimistic, collaborative nature—you will be joining a team that supports each other.
