We are currently seeking 2 x dedicated Laundry Assistants to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home. Bethanie Como is a 99-bed luxury facility that provides a full range of aged care services with a focus on allied health support and personalised care. These are permanent part-time positions offering 42 hours per fortnight, with shifts Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors, and communal areas are kept clean and tidy to high standards.
- Ensure supplies are stocked across the facility, monitoring inventory and reporting needs.
- Liaise with other employees to ensure the needs of our residents are met effectively.
- Ensure residents’ personal clothing is individually labelled and put away in their rooms.
- Identify items that require mending and report accordingly.
- Provide laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and returning residents’ clothing.
- Interact with residents in a friendly, compassionate manner, building positive relationships.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to support resident wellbeing.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Domestic Assistant or Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital, or similar environment.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and genuine compassion for residents.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Bethanie Group.
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations as required.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Friendly nature with good communication skills.
- Attention to detail in all tasks.
