Key Responsibilities

  • Basic Automotive Repair: Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical components under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Oil Changes and Maintenance: Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
  • Tire Services: Install new tires, perform tire rotations, repairs, and balancing to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Battery and Electrical Checks: Install batteries and check electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure proper function.
  • Shock Absorber Installation: Install shock absorbers and perform related suspension work as needed.
  • Road Testing: Road test vehicles after service to verify repairs and ensure everything is functioning correctly.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, explaining services performed and answering basic questions about vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

This entry level position requires the ability to learn basic mechanical tasks. You must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times and be able to drive both customer and company vehicles. Reading, writing, and math skills are necessary for completing work orders and understanding technical information. Previous experience in the automotive service industry is preferred but not required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and reliability are essential qualities.
