Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard simulator support activities including daily operations checks and routine maintenance to ensure flight training devices are ready for training sessions.
- Execute configuration changes to simulators and flight training devices, evaluating and confirming proper post change operation to meet training requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, repair, or replace most simulator and flight training device electrical and subsystem components as well as hydraulic system components with minimal assistance.
- Monitor simulator performance and condition to ensure ongoing compliance with governmental regulations and company standards.
- Demonstrate familiarity with governing regulations for the proper operation of all flight training devices, facility operations, and safe employment of personnel.
- Accomplish basic tasks associated with the Qualification Test Guide to verify simulator performance meets certification standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all simulator support documentation, quality operating procedures, and related technical manuals.
- Make recommendations concerning needed parts, acquisitions, or other materials used for flight training device repair and support.
- Report any safety hazards observed in the work area, equipment, or building as per company Safety Management System directives.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Learning Center daily department operations and applicable procedures.
Qualifications
An associate degree in electronics from a college or completion of a civilian or military electronics technical school is preferred. Candidates must have one to three years of experience including civilian or military electronics or related technical experience. Strong accountability is required to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules while accepting full responsibility for quality of work. Excellent communication skills are essential to convey ideas clearly and professionally while listening carefully to ensure information is understood. Candidates must earn trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism. Teamwork skills are necessary to cooperate and collaborate with all employees to achieve common goals.
