A well established commercial cleaning franchise is seeking an experienced Crew Chief and Lead Technician to join their production team in North Toronto. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for managing and conducting various general cleaning services at assigned commercial client sites while providing direction and support to Crew Helpers and Technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Review daily work orders, communicate with associates involved, and check routing and directions to each job as required.
- Submit daily tickets and payments received to the Accounting and Office Manager.
- Inspect materials and equipment required for scheduled jobs to ensure they are in good working order and loaded on company vehicles prior to leaving the office.
- Create requisitions for materials and equipment needed for pick up at the end of each working week.
- Complete jobs to specifications ensuring customer satisfaction and manage work assignments within allocated units.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets ServiceMaster standards and customer requirements.
- Facilitate customer inspection of jobs after completion, request customer sign off on forms indicating satisfaction, and process payment for work completed.
- Handle re service requests promptly and courteously.
- Provide training to Crew Helpers and Technicians to complete all jobs in accordance with specifications outlined.
- Maintain all equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order and keep vehicle interiors neat and clean.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of the business and services offered, advising customers appropriately and qualifying jobs to be completed.
- Sell add on services and products at every opportunity.
- Attend weekly meetings with the production team and attend training workshops as required.
- Help train new crew helpers and technicians in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all client facing activities and establish positive rapport with clients when possible.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required. Candidates must be results oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines. Strong management, delegation, planning, and leadership skills are essential. Effectiveness in construction safety and productivity is important. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to engage clients and deliver excellent service. Strong decision making skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. Candidates must demonstrate sound work ethics, proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, and the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with shifting priorities and deadlines. A team player who fosters team based learning while also working well independently is essential. Candidates must have a valid driver’s licence and be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
