As a Tool Grinder, you will grind, prepare, and inspect tooling based on customer and manufacturer specifications while supporting daily shop operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of tool applications, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. This is an on-site opportunity located in O’Fallon, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities
• Grind tooling according to customer and manufacturer specifications while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Sort tooling, set up machines, and prepare jobs for each application
- Inspect tools, machinery, and completed work to ensure proper operation and quality.
- Identify surface flaws, bad grinds, or chips using magnifiers and inspection tools.
- Follow established standards, procedures, and ISO guidelines during all tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while supporting a strong safety culture.
- Address routine issues using existing processes and communicate concerns when needed.
- Uphold core workplace behaviors and collaborate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Up to two years of experience in a similar tool grinding or machining role.
- Familiarity with material types, grinding applications, and machine capabilities, including Tru-Tech and cylindrical grinding machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret tooling requirements.
- Skilled in using micrometers, verniers, radius gauges, and related measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of tool geometry and basic math skills.
- Ability to select appropriate grinding wheels for specific applications.
- CNC certification is preferred but not required.
