 Key Responsibilities

As a core part of our operational team, you will be entrusted with a range of critical duties:

• Safely operating tow trucks to recover and transport vehicles from various locations across Auckland.
• Responding promptly and efficiently to dispatch calls, ensuring timely assistance for customers.
• Expertly securing vehicles using all appropriate towing equipment, chains, and safety protocols.
• Performing basic vehicle recovery and roadside assistance tasks as required.
• Maintaining meticulous logs for all jobs, service reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Conducting daily pre-start checks on your assigned vehicle to ensure it is safe and operational.
• Providing calm, professional, and helpful customer service during often stressful situations.
• Assisting with general mechanical and vehicle dismantling duties as needed within the yard.

Qualifications

To ensure safety and quality, we require the following:

• A valid New Zealand Class 2 Driver Licence (or an overseas equivalent that can be converted).
• The ability to obtain or an existing forklift licence is highly advantageous.
• A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
• A strong, demonstrated understanding of road safety and load restraint regulations.
• Physical fitness and capability to handle demanding recovery tasks in all conditions.
• A reliable, responsible attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Flexibility to work a roster that includes weekends, early starts, and on-call shifts.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
