Key Responsibilities

As a Janitor, you will be essential to our daily operations, ensuring our client’s facility meets high standards of cleanliness. Your routine tasks will include:

• Maintaining all floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming according to the established schedule.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas, and replenishing paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Emptying all trash receptacles and disposing of materials properly, which may include operating a compactor.
• Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using the appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
• Performing spot cleaning on carpets and assisting with deeper cleaning processes like extractions and shampooing as needed.
• Safely following all procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment, such as floor scrubbers and buffers, to prevent damage.
• Remaining flexible and adaptable, as specific tasks may vary daily based on client needs and assignments.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable and attentive individual who can follow instructions carefully. Here’s what you’ll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, OR a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial or similar position.
• A strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right.
• The ability to listen to and follow instructions effectively and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
• While not required, prior cleaning experience or familiarity with commercial floor care (buffing, waxing) is a nice bonus.
