Key Responsibilities
As the face of Moffat’s service team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for reliability. Your key duties will include:
- Travelling daily to customer sites across metropolitan Melbourne to install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial electrical catering and bakery equipment.
- Applying strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, minimising customer downtime.
- Providing outstanding professional customer service, clearly communicating repair processes and offering helpful advice.
- Completing accurate service reports, job documentation, and parts requisitions in a timely manner.
- Participating in the after-hours on-call roster (with full overtime pay) to support our customers when needed.
- Maintaining the company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
Qualifications
To excel in this technical field role, you will need:
- Relevant Australian Electrical qualifications (Electrical Licence) – this is non-negotiable.
- Proven experience servicing electrical equipment, preferably within the commercial kitchen, hospitality, or a related technical field.
- Exceptional diagnostic, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- A current, valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- A willingness to participate in the overtime and on-call roster.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- While not essential, gas qualifications, a mechanical aptitude, or specific experience with commercial kitchen equipment will be highly regarded and are a significant advantage.
