Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our baking production team, you will be involved in the entire process. Your core duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring automated bakery equipment to mix, proof, bake, and package bread and small goods to our precise specifications.
- Applying your understanding of ingredients to make real-time adjustments to batches, ensuring consistent quality, texture, and taste in every product.
- Actively contributing to a positive and high-performing team environment by sharing knowledge, collaborating on problem-solving, and supporting your colleagues.
- Rigorously adhering to all food safety standards, health & safety protocols, and company policies to maintain our impeccable standards.
- Ensuring production machinery runs efficiently, performing basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime and meet tight production deadlines.
- Participating in the ongoing development of the team, including supporting colleagues who are completing formal baking qualifications.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You will need:
- A genuine passion for baking and food production, with a keen willingness to continually develop your skills.
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience is highly valued. Specific experience in a plant bakery environment is a definite advantage.
- Strong numerical and literacy skills for following recipes, completing documentation, and managing batch controls.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit, collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- A consistently positive, professional attitude and a strong safety mindset demonstrated in previous workplaces.
- Relevant Food Safety and Quality or Health & Safety certificates are preferred, but support is available for the right candidate.
