Key Responsibilities

As a Regional Delivery Driver with Canada Cartage, you are the face of our company at every stop. Your role is crucial to our daily success and includes:

  • Safely operating a modern Class 1 commercial vehicle to make timely deliveries to various retail and grocery stores in the Greater Montreal region.
  • Demonstrating skill and precision with tight-space parking and backing maneuvers into narrow loading docks at customer locations.
  • Providing exceptional, friendly, and professional customer service at every delivery point.
  • Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Ensuring products are delivered correctly, which involves “dock to dock” delivery or using an electric pallet jack to unload pallets as required.
  • Adhering strictly to all hours-of-service regulations, company safety policies, and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

We are looking for safe, skilled, and customer-focused drivers. To qualify for this rewarding role, you will need:

  • A valid Class 1 driver’s licence and a minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience.
  • Proven comfort and skill with city driving, highway conditions, and executing precise parking maneuvers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills you must be friendly, courteous, and professional in all customer interactions.
  • The physical ability to regularly lift loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • A clean driving record and the willingness to undergo a satisfactory background check, including a criminal record check and reference verification.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including weekends when required.
