Key Responsibilities
As a professional driver with Syndicate Transport, you will be key to our daily operations and customer satisfaction. Your core duties will include:
- Safely operating commercial vehicles for approximately 10-12 hours per day on local and highway runs.
- Completing pickups and deliveries at various warehouses and retail outlets with professionalism.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is in top condition.
- Monitoring cargo carefully to ensure load security and temperature compliance for sensitive freight.
- Adhering strictly to all provincial and federal motor vehicle acts and company safety policies.
- Being willing to assist with loading and unloading and handling items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
We are looking for qualified drivers who meet our high standards for safety and reliability. To be considered, you must have:
- A valid Class 1 driver’s licence and a minimum of one year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience.
- A clean 3-year commercial driving abstract.
- The flexibility to work varied schedules, which will include weekends and night shifts.
- The ability to pass a bonding check and be willing to undergo any required background screenings.
- A strong work ethic, excellent safety awareness, and a professional attitude.
