Key Responsibilities
In this varied role, no two days are the same. You’ll be the crucial link between our yard and our customers’ construction sites, with key duties including:
- Safely operating a Class 2 truck to deliver building supplies to sites across the region, ensuring they arrive on time and in perfect condition.
- Providing top-notch support in our yard by picking, packing, and assembling customer orders with precision.
- Skillfully operating a forklift to load and unload products, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Building strong relationships by delivering exceptional, friendly service to every customer you meet, both on-site and over the phone.
- Handling sales documentation accurately and upholding the highest standards of health and safety in everything you do.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a team player with a fantastic attitude and a commitment to safety and service. The right person for our team will have:
- A full, clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence with a minimum of a Class 2 endorsement.
- A current Forklift Licence (an F endorsement would be a great advantage).
- A natural talent for connecting with people and a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
- Solid physical fitness for manual handling tasks and a proven awareness of health and safety practices.
- Basic computer skills for processing orders and documentation.
- While not essential, any knowledge of the building industry will help you succeed quickly in this role.
