Key Responsibilities

As a Terminal Operator, you will be the eyes and hands on the ground, responsible for critical daily processes. Your key duties will include:

Collecting product samples for rigorous quality testing to ensure fuel integrity.
Taking precise measurements of product levels in storage tanks.
Conducting daily monitoring, checks, and detailed recording of terminal operating equipment.
Safely isolating terminal equipment to enable maintenance work by engineering staff and contractors.
Working closely within the operations team and with other departments to ensure seamless terminal functionality.
Strictly adhering to all site operating procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a procedural, safety-first environment.

You Must Have:

A practical mechanical aptitude and the proven ability to follow detailed instructions and operating procedures (equivalent to an NZQA Level 3 certificate is ideal).
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and communicate clearly within a team.
A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
The flexibility and willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift roster that includes nights and weekends.
An uncompromising personal commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards.

Ideal Experience:

Previous experience in an operational role within a large plant or industrial environment.
Knowledge of product quality control and contamination risks.
An understanding of the oil industry or bulk liquid storage (e.g., fuels, dairy, water).
