Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will touch every aspect of our kitchen’s operation, focusing on three core areas:

Leading Your Team:

  • Direct daily kitchen activities, including planning, assigning work, and ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Develop your team through consistent coaching, constructive feedback, and by setting clear performance and development goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and thriving work environment that promotes a true “one team” mentality across departments.

Elevating the Guest Experience:

  • Actively seek and utilize guest feedback to continuously improve satisfaction and menu offerings.
  • Engage directly with guests to answer questions about our cuisine and kitchen services with knowledge and pride.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director on event planning and special culinary offerings.

Ensuring Operational Excellence:

  • Guarantee all dishes meet our high standards for quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Manage kitchen finances, including completing forecasts, production reports, and maintaining accurate dish costing.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proven leader with a balance of culinary artistry and managerial skill. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in a senior culinary leadership role, such as Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef, within a full-service hotel or restaurant.
  • A proven track record of successfully developing, coaching, and leading a diverse kitchen team.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with guests, team members, and other department heads.
  • A deep commitment to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • A creative and innovative approach to menu development, with an awareness of industry trends.
