Key Responsibilities
In this role, you are the crucial link between our produce and our customers’ kitchens. Your key duties will include:
- Safely loading, transporting, and delivering our products to a schedule, ensuring every item arrives on time and in perfect condition.
- Lifting and carrying heavy loads throughout your shift, using correct techniques to ensure your safety and the product’s integrity.
- Providing outstanding customer service at every stop, building rapport with chefs and business owners through your courtesy and professionalism.
- Confidently navigating your assigned routes throughout Hastings and Napier.
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring the delivery vehicle is kept clean and well-presented.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and personable individual who takes pride in their work. The right fit for our team will have:
- A valid, clean New Zealand driver’s licence. The ability to drive a manual small truck is required, and a Class 2 endorsement is highly regarded.
- The physical ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy items as a regular part of the day.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural, friendly customer-service manner.
- Strong local knowledge of the Hastings and Napier areas, or the ability to learn new routes quickly.
- A proactive, punctual, and positive attitude with solid literacy and numeracy skills.
- A forklift license is useful but not essential, as we value the right attitude above all.
