Key Responsibilities
In this varied production role, you will be involved in multiple stages of the manufacturing cycle. Your key duties will include:
- Setting up, operating, and tending to machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials.
- Monitoring product quality, inspecting finished goods for defects, and ensuring they meet all specifications.
- Operating cutting, shaping, splicing, and finishing equipment to form and trim rubber products into their final form.
- Preparing and laying out rubber materials for assembly and feeding raw materials into machines.
- Performing minor repairs or adjustments to products and machinery as needed.
- Marking and redirecting any defective products and affixing seals or tags to approved items.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area, including cleaning machines and assisting tradespersons with maintenance tasks as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and work with machinery. The ideal candidate will have:
