This is a hands-on position where you will be essential to preparing our spaces for events, performing thorough clean-up, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our facility. With three different shift options (morning, afternoon, and overnight), this role offers flexibility and the potential for full-time hours. Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our support team, you will handle a diverse mix of duties to ensure seamless event transitions and impeccable facility maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Event Support: Performing basic event preparation and setup tasks before events, and thorough clean-up and breakdown after events.
- Custodial Duties: Sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors; cleaning restrooms; washing walls and windows; vacuuming carpets; and emptying trash throughout the facility.
- Maintenance Tasks: Assisting with basic building maintenance using hand and power tools as directed.
- Groundskeeping: Picking up exterior trash, removing snow and ice from walkways and parking lots, and performing light lawn care (mowing, trimming).
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating basic equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, snow blowers, and compactors.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to complete all assigned tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute. The ideal candidate will have:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to follow directions carefully and work effectively in a team setting.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Commercial maintenance or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
- A valid South Dakota Driver’s License is preferred.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including regularly lifting up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, weather, and cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE provided).
Shift Schedule: This role works assigned shifts, which rotate between:
- Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Overnight: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours: Potential for up to 40 hours per week.
