Key Responsibilities
You will manage the full cycle of our linen and terry processing, ensuring efficiency and quality. Your core duties will include:
- Operating commercial washers and dryers, loading them correctly and monitoring cycles to ensure proper cleaning.
- Carefully inspecting, sorting, and folding all laundered items, including bed linens, towels, and tablecloths, before placing them in organized storage.
- Treating stained or heavily soiled items by pre-soaking or using specific cleaning agents according to established procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly laundry area, including daily cleaning of lint filters and proper storage of supplies.
- Accurately counting and verifying linen quantities and promptly reporting any maintenance issues with equipment.
- Supporting the housekeeping team by assisting with stripping linens from rooms when required and upholding our high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is thorough, responsible, and a team player. The successful applicant will have:
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a keen eye for detail to maintain our quality standards.
- The physical capability to perform the job, including standing for extended periods, bending, and regularly lifting and carrying loads (frequently up to 25 lbs).
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good basic numeracy skills for counting inventory and measuring cleaning chemicals.
- A positive, cooperative attitude and the willingness to assist team members when needed.
- While prior laundry or hospitality experience is beneficial, it is not required; we provide training for motivated individuals.
