Key Responsibilities
Your careful work will directly contribute to the daily comfort and hygiene of our residents. Your key duties will include:
- Operating commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently to process all community linens and residents’ personal clothing.
- Carefully sorting, inspecting, treating stains, washing, drying, folding, and delivering laundry according to specific instructions and fabric care requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, monitoring supplies, and reporting any equipment issues promptly.
- Interacting respectfully and kindly with residents, assisting with any laundry-related requests or questions they may have.
- Working collaboratively with the housekeeping and care teams to ensure all laundry needs are met in a timely manner, supporting the smooth operation of our community.
Qualifications

- A genuine, empathetic, and patient approach to serving a senior population.
- Strong reliability, a solid work ethic, and a meticulous attention to detail.
- The physical stamina to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and safely lifting and moving laundry loads.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as a cooperative part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle volume and meet schedules.
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or a similar role is preferred, and knowledge of fabric care is a plus.
