This is a seasonal opportunity with a large-scale row crop farming operation. We rely on a capable workforce to manage diverse tasks throughout the planting, growing, and harvest seasons. Key Responsibilities
Your duties will be diverse and essential to the seasonal workflow. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery including tractors with implements, sprayers, combines, forklifts, and skid steers for planting, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
- Performing grain handling operations: loading/unloading trucks, operating augers and conveyors, preparing scale tickets, and assisting with grain bin maintenance and clean-out.
- Transporting grain from fields to on-farm storage bins using semi-trucks (no CDL required for on-farm use).
- Assisting with irrigation by laying poly pipe and managing levee gates, and performing field drainage work using hand tools and tractors.
- Conducting general farm maintenance, equipment cleaning, and post-weather damage cleanup.
- Potentially assisting with transporting workers and performing other tasks as directly related to crop activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for workers who are experienced and can work independently. Required qualifications include:
- Proven experience operating the listed farm equipment (tractors, sprayers, combines, etc.).
- The ability to work with minimum supervision and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor, including shoveling grain and using hand tools in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks as needed and assist with general farm maintenance and cleanup.
- Must be able to perform duties related to potential weather damage recovery.
