You will be an integral part of our kitchen brigade, preparing high-quality à la carte and event meals in a fast-paced, fine-dining setting, ensuring every plate meets our exacting standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the consistent execution of dishes and the smooth operation of your section. Your duties will include:
- Preparing and presenting meals according to established recipes and portion specifications for fine dining and event service.
- Organizing daily prep work, setting up your station, and ensuring seamless coordination during service for timely food pick-up.
- Maintaining strict sanitation and cleanliness standards in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Monitoring inventory levels, advising supervisors of low stock, and assisting with receiving and inventory counts as required.
- Assisting in training and guiding other kitchen team members to uphold quality and efficiency.
- Promoting teamwork and quality service through effective communication with the banquet, outlets, and service teams.
- Operating with a high degree of independence and initiative, while adhering to all company and brand standards.
- Performing additional tasks such as dishwashing or other kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications And Skills for Success
To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of experience, skill, and the right attitude:
- 2-3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel, or fine dining environment.
- A Culinary diploma/degree and a valid Food Handler’s Certification are strong assets.
- Proven ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and consistency.
- Solid professional cooking and knife handling skills, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure during high-volume service.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform bending/stooping motions.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, nights, as required by the business.
