Key Responsibilities
As a QBuild Apprentice Carpenter, you will learn the trade through a combination of hands-on experience and formal training. Your role will involve:
- Learning and applying carpentry skills under the guidance of qualified tradespeople on active construction sites.
- Developing the ability to understand technical instructions, use tools and equipment safely, and carry out manual tasks to a high standard.
- Adhering strictly to all workplace health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for yourself and your team.
- Planning your work effectively, communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues, and collaborating to achieve quality results.
- Committing to both on-the-job training and off-the-job learning through a registered training organisation.
Qualifications
We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute. To be eligible, you will need:
- To be at least 15 years old at commencement (candidates 18 or turning 18 are preferred for travel requirements).
- Permanent residency or eligibility to work in Australia.
- Completion of Year 10 with a pass in Maths and English.
- The ability to transport yourself and tools to work and training sites.
- A willingness to obtain a Construction Industry White Card before starting.
- A respectful attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
