Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a vital part of our customer-facing technical team. Your day will involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and client interaction to ensure optimal system performance.
- Provide on-site technical service, maintenance, and hardware repairs for ATMs, point-of-sale systems, and other self-service technologies in banking-retail environments.
- Utilize Diebold Nixdorf diagnostic tools and procedures to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, clean and adjust components, and install/configure applicable software per documented procedures.
- Guide and train customers on the proper use and operation of installed hardware and software, ensuring a positive client experience.
- Accurately document all service activities, parts usage, and resolutions in the service management system.
- Collaborate with the dispatch and support teams to meet agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a foundation in technology and a passion for customer service. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- An associate degree or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a field service, technical support, or hardware repair role is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical and hands-on approach to technical challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin; basic English comprehension is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license (motorcycle or car) and willingness to travel within an assigned service territory are required.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work at heights, and adapt to a schedule that may include on-call duties.
