Key Responsibilities
As a Bus Driver with SouthLink, you will be the friendly face of public transport, responsible for:
- Safely operating Adelaide Metro routes between the Adelaide Hills and the city, 7 days a week.
- Providing exceptional customer service, assisting passengers, and ensuring a positive travel experience.
- Reading and understanding timetables, maps, and route information to maintain schedule reliability.
- Operating vehicle radios and onboard systems in accordance with procedures.
- Conducting pre-departure vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Upholding the highest standards of safety for yourself, your passengers, and other road users.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable individuals with a positive attitude. You will need:
- A current and valid Australian driver’s licence (an HR licence is desirable but not essential – we provide assistance).
- A genuine passion for customer service and good communication skills in English.
- A positive, flexible outlook and a strong focus on safety.
- The right to live and work in Australia, and currently reside in South Australia.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
We will fully support you in obtaining the necessary qualifications, including:
- HR Licence upgrade (if needed).
- Large Passenger (LP) Accreditation.
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
