Key Responsibilities
You will be a key part of our civil construction crew, contributing to critical rail infrastructure. Your role will involve a combination of skilled tasks, including:
- Performing civil labouring duties, trenching, and groundworks to prepare sites for rail construction.
- Laying and installing electrical cables as part of the broader project scope.
- Safely operating mobile plant such as excavators (up to 7T), skid steers, and tippers to support daily operations.
- Working collaboratively within a team to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Adhering to all site-specific safety plans, rail industry protocols, and company procedures.
Qualifications
This role requires specific, non-negotiable certifications and proven experience. To be eligible, you must possess:
- A current RIW (Rail Industry Worker) Card.
- A valid Category 3 Medical.
- A Statement of Attainment for operating relevant mobile plant (Excavator, Skid Steer).
- Proven hands-on experience in civil labouring, trenching, groundworks, and cable laying.
- The ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- An HR (Heavy Rigid) Licence is greatly desired.
- Prior experience in rail signaling is a valuable bonus.
