Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Machine Setter Operator, you will be responsible for the complete setup and operation of our CNC machinery. Your core duties will include:
- Performing accurate machine setup, including loading programs, installing tools, and setting work offsets for new production runs.
- Operating CNC machines (milling and/or turning) to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
- Monitoring machine performance, making minor adjustments to optimize cycle times and maintain product quality.
- Performing routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Maintaining detailed production records and ensuring a clean, organized work area adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules efficiently.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with proven hands-on experience and a proactive attitude. The requirements are:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Setter and Operator in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to work night shift.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with setting up CNC milling and/or turning machines is essential.
- Ability to use standard measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
- A strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- CNC programming knowledge (e.g., G-code) is a significant advantage.
- ITE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is beneficial.
