Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise classrooms, toilets, common areas, offices, reception, and parent areas daily.
- Wipe down windows, doors, window grilles, gates, shelves, cabinets, shoe racks, cubbies, and children’s tables and chairs.
- Clean toys, children’s mattresses, floor rugs, soft covers, and the pet area if applicable.
- Tidy up the art and craft area and ensure all materials are stored properly.
- Clear rubbish from classrooms and the office regularly throughout the day.
- Assist with showering children in the morning alongside teachers when needed.
- Help wash dishes in the afternoon after meal times.
- Prepare simple meals when required, especially on Saturdays.
- Help maintain the garden area if the centre has one.
- Respond quickly and kindly if children need assistance with accidents or spills.
What We’re Looking For
- A responsible and caring attitude, especially when working around young children.
- Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning and light support tasks throughout the day.
- Physically able to handle tasks like bending, lifting, and moving around the centre.
- No prior experience is needed we are happy to train the right person.
- Comfortable working on Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.
- A team player who communicates well with teachers and other staff members.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
