Key Responsibilities

In this active delivery role, you will be responsible for more than just transport. Key duties include:

  • Safely operating a manual vehicle, often with a trailer attached, to deliver goods to various job sites.
  • Confidently manoeuvring and reversing vehicles with trailers into sometimes tight or complex site locations.
  • Performing physical tasks associated with deliveries, including loading, unloading, and moving products.
  • Adhering to all road safety rules and on-site health & safety protocols.
  • Maintaining clear communication with the dispatch team, site contacts, and your colleagues.
  • Completing delivery documentation accurately and performing basic vehicle checks.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

  • A full, clean New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence with no demerits or active tickets.
  • Proven ability to drive a manual vehicle and experience in driving and reversing with a trailer.
  • Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour as part of the daily routine.
  • A strong team-player attitude with good communication skills and a solid safety mindset.
  • Must be available for ongoing full-time work starting in the New Year.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and provide a clean criminal record.
  • Must have your own reliable transport to get to and from work.
  • Ability to provide two contactable work-related references.

An Advantage:

  • Some knowledge of trades or building products.
