Key Responsibilities
As a Long-Distance Driver with our team, you will be the face of our company on the road. Your core responsibilities will ensure safe and efficient delivery:
- Safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers for long-distance grain transport.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and load safety.
- Properly handle, load, and unload grain commodities, utilizing experience with grain-specific equipment (Super Bee or similar experience is a strong asset).
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), bills of lading, and all transport documentation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Represent Bystransport with a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all hours-of-service regulations and company safety policies without exception.
Qualifications
We are looking for professional drivers who share our commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Proven experience in long-distance commercial trucking.
- Direct experience hauling grain; familiarity with Super Bee or similar grain trailers is highly preferred.
- A strong safety-first mindset and impeccable attention to detail.
- Reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
