Key Responsibilities
As a driver with Empire Couriers, your role is essential to our success. You’ll engage with customers daily, ensuring the seamless delivery and collection of parcels while representing our brand with professionalism and care.
- Complete local multi-drop deliveries and collections across the Glenorchy area and broader Tasmania, following efficient routes and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every stop, building positive relationships with businesses and individuals.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, conducting pre-start checks and maintaining vehicle security.
- Use state-of-the-art technology, including handheld PDA systems, to track deliveries, capture signatures, and maintain accurate records.
- Follow all company procedures and safety protocols, ensuring parcels are handled with care and delivered within specified time frames.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and supervisors, reporting any issues or delays promptly.

Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for drivers who are reliable, customer-focused, and ready to contribute to a supportive team environment.
Essential Requirements:
- A current and valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (car, van, or truck depending on the role).
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving is highly regarded, though we’re willing to train the right candidate.
- A strong commitment to customer service, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of parcels as required.
- A clean driving record and willingness to undergo any necessary background checks.
- The right to work in Australia.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Experience using PDA systems or delivery tracking technology.
- Knowledge of the Glenorchy, Hobart, or broader Tasmanian road networks.
- Experience with vans or light commercial vehicles.
