Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport freight to designated destinations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of goods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Comply with all traffic regulations and company safety policies
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts, invoices, and confirmations
- Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times
- Adapt to daily operational changes, including urgent deliveries or route adjustments
- Support team members and contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Valid Full Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Current forkhoist license and confidence operating larger vehicles
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and manage repeated in-and-out vehicle tasks
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Flexibility to adapt to varying delivery schedules and operational demands
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is required
- Willingness to complete pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and Ministry of Justice checks
