Key Responsibilities
You will be the operational mainstay for our facilities and transport, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs across the embassy’s premises (e.g., minor plumbing, joinery, painting). Monitor technical equipment, liaise with and oversee external contractors, and handle furniture assembly.
- Provide safe and punctual driving services for embassy personnel and guests, maintain an accurate logbook, and oversee the cleaning and basic maintenance of official vehicles.
- Conduct office errands, purchase supplies, and handle pick-up/drop-off services. Ensure all tasks are completed with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a proven practical skillset and the highest personal integrity.
- Essential: Proven experience in general handyman tasks and several years of local driving experience with an in-depth knowledge of Singapore’s roads.
- Essential: A full, valid Singapore driver’s licence and excellent command of English (both spoken and written). German language skills are an advantage.
- Essential: Outstanding personal attributes including reliability, discretion, service orientation, teamwork, flexibility, and resilience.
- The ability to work 39 hours per week with flexibility for overtime (compensated with time in lieu).
- Must meet all Singapore employment and residence law requirements.
