Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a direct role in infection prevention and patient comfort. Your core duties will include:
- Performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, including patient rooms (both daily and terminal cleaning after discharge), labor & delivery rooms, departments, offices, and public spaces.
- Following specific cleaning procedures for isolation rooms and maintaining proper infection control techniques.
- Mopping, waxing, dusting, and vacuuming floors; washing walls, windows, and bathroom fixtures.
- Restocking supplies in patient rooms and common areas.
- Safely operating electrical cleaning appliances and handling cleaning chemicals.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or unsafe equipment to your supervisor promptly.
- Upholding the strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
- Working collaboratively as a supportive member of the hospital team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and conscientious individual with a positive attitude. The requirements are:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- A graduate of grammar school is desirable; on-the-job training is provided.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and take pride in your work.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well with all types of people.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.

- Must be adaptable and able to handle stressful situations appropriately.
Wage: $16.17 – $18.77 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differentials for evening hours. Position: Full-Time, Benefit Eligible.
