Key Responsibilities
You will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service for our clients. Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, your key tasks will include:
- Managing end-to-end customer service for freight forwarding, from initial enquiry to final delivery.
- Accurately entering order data into our Cargowise operating system.
- Processing orders, creating labels, and maintaining clear communication with clients and transporters.
- Organising transport bookings, manifesting shipments, and resolving any delivery issues or disputes.
- Handling incoming calls and providing professional, helpful responses.
- Performing basic invoicing and general administrative duties like filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong customer service focus and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, with superb organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tight deadlines.
- Initiative, self-motivation, and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude towards problem-solving.
- Good numerical skills and comfort working with data and systems.
- Computer literacy; prior experience with Cargowise or similar EDI software is highly regarded but not essential.
- While freight forwarding office experience is preferable, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate.
