Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our production team, your role will be active and impactful. While duties vary by position, you can expect to:
- Operate and monitor advanced machinery such as press brakes, roll-form machines, and CNC equipment to fabricate steel components.
- Read and interpret shop orders and blueprints to ensure precise manufacturing specifications.
- Safely transport materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.
- Perform rigorous quality checks using calipers, measuring tapes, and other tools to maintain our high standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Accurately report production counts and any defects in tools or materials.
- Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve our processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable team players who bring one or more of the following skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication.
- Ability to use measuring tools and interpret blueprints.
- Operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, or CNC machinery is a significant asset.
- Post-secondary training in metal fabrication is favourable.
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and availability to work a rotating shift schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
- A strong safety mindset and a commitment to producing quality work.
