The Tokyo EDITION Toranomon is seeking an entry-level manager to support daily operations in Housekeeping, Recreation-Health Club, and Laundry. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure guestrooms and public spaces are impeccably maintained, inspections are completed, and both guest and employee satisfaction remain top priorities. Core Work Activities

Managing Housekeeping Operations and Budgets:

Ensure knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date.
Oversee all lost and found procedures, ensuring items are properly logged and stored.
Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies are available for daily operations.
Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
Work effectively with the Engineering department on guest room maintenance needs.
Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
Verify all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
Assist in supervising an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
Manage linen inventory and guest supplies, assisting in ordering as necessary.
Supervise Housekeeping and all related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
Observe service behaviors of employees and provide constructive feedback, continuously striving to improve service performance.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:

Handle guest problems and complaints professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
Set a positive example for guest relations in all interactions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in housekeeping or a related professional area.
OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.

Required Skills and Qualities:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic understanding of budgeting and financial goals.
Knowledge of safety and loss prevention procedures.
Experience with inspection programs and quality control.
A warm, guest-focused attitude and the ability to handle complaints with professionalism.
Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are highly valued for this location.
